My rating guide:
I will use a five-star rating system on my blog. Throughout my reviews, I will also be analyzing writing style, plot, characters, emotion, and more. Here is what my star ratings mean:
5 Stars = absolutely adored the book. If I had the time, I would pick it up immediately after finishing it and read it again. The characters are top notch, the plot is enticing, the writing style is beautiful, and the overall content and representation is superb.
4 Stars = very close to being an ultimately amazing book for me. Very few things that I either did not enjoy or would have changed that caused me to knock off a star.
3 Stars = are books that I do not feel particularly positive or negative about. Better than a ‘meh’ book, but did not hold my attention as well as it could have. Several things I disliked or would change. Definitely not a bad book, though.
2 Stars = Was not really a fan of this book, but did not totally hate it. It had some potential, but missed out on several opportunities for it to be an actually good book.
1 Star = Did not enjoy the book, but I trudged through it.
0 Stars = DNF’d the book.
